We know how helpful it is to be able to discuss important experiences with other people who understand your circumstances. In medicine, our ability to process things with colleagues is often limited by both internal and external influences. We aim to introduce peer support by providing a confidential forum in which it is safe to speak candidly with peers - without fear of repercussions.
We utilize a HIPAA-compliant group video platform to conduct our discussions. Although all members agree to nondisclosure, they may still choose to remain anonymous by using an alias and/or declining camera access. Members' identities/credentials will be confirmed by the group's physician moderator prior to entry.
Our first peer discussion groups will debut this summer; topics/demographics will be determined by demand. If you'd like to suggest a topic or are interested in participating in a group, please fill out the form below.
Our physician-led group discussions are made possible by donor contributions. We understand that not everyone can afford to contribute financially and we hope to continue providing this service free of charge. We so appreciate the generosity of those who are able to help.
Our first group discussions will be available to physicians and medical students and we will expand availability as we are able.
